Aishwarya Rai’s ‘topa’ is for real

The Umrao Jaan promos have left everyone with parted lips and straining eyes. J.P. Dutta’s rendition of Umrao, has Aishwarya rai looking more stunning than she’s ever looked. But some critics have raised eyebrows about her costumes, especially the courtesan’s topa she’s wearing with blue outfit. Some claim that such a headgear was never worn in the era. Bur knowing J P dutta’s penchant for detailing, he’s put in painstaking amount of research in the costumes and look of the film.
