These days Koena mitra is busy in Anant Mahadevan’s Anamika. Koena Mitra’s Apna Sapna Money Money is all set for release in november and has already been signed by Subhash ghai for two movies. In Apna Sapna Money Money, the audience will not hear her original voice. Her voice has been dubbed. “I play the character of a Catholic girl who speaks in typical Goan accent. Her errors while speaking creates comedy. Since I was not very comfortable with the fluency we had to look for other option,” says Koena Mitra.
Whereas Director Sangeet Sivan has a different story to tell. “Yes it’s true that her voice has been dubbed. Koena was not keeping well so we had to go for a dubbing artist for her. A professional dubbing artist has dubbed for her”, says Sivan. Source: IndiaFm

Koena Mitra was recently scared to death while shooting for Anant Mahadevan’s Anamika at bikaner’s Palace, bedacuse she felt the place was very haunted. But, as usual, the bengali has decided to put on a brave front, and instead, played some scary pranks on her co-star Gulshan Grover. “After his shoot, Gulshan grover was sleeping in his room when koena decided to play a prank on him. She started it by knocking at his door and then when Gulshan didn’t pay attention, she started clawing with her nails on his windows,” says a unit member. And guess how gulshan grover reacted?He merely said loudly, “if it’s a ghost, she’s welcome to come inside, but if it’s someone looking for a romantic rendezvous sorry i can’t handle it.” Now thats cool reply coming from Bollywood’s Bad man! Anant Mahadevan’s plan to take on Daphnedu Maurier’s Rebecca would surprise the late British author as much as Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar would have jolted Mario Puzo. In Anamika, Ananth’s version of Rebecca, the sultry Koena Mitra has been cast in a role that doesn’t exsit in the original. She plays a childhood sweetheart of hero Maxim De Winter who is still in love him, thus providing the third woman angle besides Rebecca and Maxim’s second wife.Says Koena Mitra, “I can easily say this is the meatiest role of my career so far, and just the challenge I needed to move forword as an actress. I play Dino Morea’s childhood sweetheart who still has the hots for him. It’s basically a triangle between me, Minissha Lamba and dino. What I like about this role is the challenge of fitting into a part that is entirely new to the original book. Anamika doesn’t have more than a handful of characters. So, i will get a chance to make my presence felt. Nowadays every director wnats to make a multi-starrer where one just gets lost.
