We know that actress Amrita Arora is all excited about her new home, and is spending quite some time doing up the interiors. But the lass hasn’t compromised on work at all. “I am as busy as I have always been with shooting and shows,” she informs us. But then how does she manage it all? Is usman taking care of the settings? “Well, the tile man and the interior designer just came on my sets and we decided what tile we would be putting where. So things tend to sort themselves out that way.” Well, now that’s quite some ’setting’, huh?

Amrita Arora: I am just 22!!

Amrita Arora, at present, has hardly any movie on which she can bank upon for a big success. She is currently doing ‘Shart’ with Tushar Kapoor. She is working with Rahul Khanna in a Tanuja Chandra’s movie. She has Yagnesh Shetty’s ‘Cheetah’ and ‘Team-The Force’ with Sohail Khan. When asked about her present status (which is definitely not rocking!) in Bollywood, Amrita says that she doesn’t worry much about it. She is just 22 years old and has enough time to prove herself. We recently learnt that actress Amrita Arora’s pakistani cricketer boyfriend Usman Afsal and his brother are great fans of celebrity hairstylist Aalim, and whenever they are down in Mumbai, they ensure that they have a haircut from him. This time too, was no exception. We spotted the cricketer at the salon and he was quite pleased with the end product - razor sharp cuts, spikes et al. Known for his hairdos of popular actors, it looks like Aalim will soon begin a ew innings with managing cricketers’ hairstyles, too! What say?

Amrita Arora in a Pakistani movie ‘Godfather’

Amrita Arora is in a mood to rock Pakistan film industry. She has been signed for an item song in a Pakistani movie. She says that she is going to perform a very strong role in a Pakistani mega budget movie “Godfather”. Now-a-days, Pakistani film industry seems really impressed by Bollywood actresses. Besides Amrita, many other actresses including Vidya Balan are planning to step into Pakistani film world. First, Bollywood started the trend of giving roles to Pakistani actresses. Now it seems Pakistan plans to repay back the favour.

Amrita Arora and Usman’s two-year itch

It was celebration time for Amrita Arora. Well, she and Usman completed two years of ‘being together’ this week, and luckily, her cricketer boyfriend is here in Mumbai for training. What better treat than that! But, it was Malaika who gave the lovely couple a surprise. She hosted a close family dinner for them at a suburban restaurant. Of course, Ammu and Usman had their private moment together later on in the evening. And what did usman gift his lovely gal? “He gave me a butterfly shaped diamond pendant, because he thinks I am like a butterfly, a free-spirit at heart,” she replied.

We also heard that Ammu often ransacks elder sis’ wardrobe. “I am tempted to and I do it often. It’s the most trendy, awesome wardrobe ever. I love her high fashion tops, shoes and bags. I always tell my friends that if there are anything they wabt to raid, they shuld raid Malaika’s wardrobe,” says Amrita Arora. “I think i have my own sex-appeal and Malaika has hers. I don’t want to swap my sex appeal with Malaika’s. I am happy the way I am perceived. DOing that would take away the charm from both of us.”

A nervous Amrita Arora

Amrita Arora never fails to surprise us. Last time when she was in the capital (Delhi) she made a slip while conducting the show by calling the italian ambassador, “Italy’s high Commissioner”. This time round, the petite actress said, “Ramp walking is nervewracking for me. Ask me to speal or act in front of the camera and I ma game. But, rampwalk is just not my cup of tea. It’s not my fote.” Such was the secne when Renu Tandon showcased her latest collection. Most of the party hearty Delhiites gave this do a miss. Wonder, why? Amrita Arora is one helluva show-girl. Well, we mean Amrita Arora does a whole lot of stage shows abroad and in India and she enjoys it too. So that makes us wonder, if she’d rather stick to modelling and dancing, than be part of the cool cat-race in Bollywood. She’s quick to clarify that, “Not at all, It’s good when one of the songs from my film becomes a hit so that I can dance to that number on stage and woo audiences. But thats because I enjoy dancing. At the end of the day I am happy being an actress, I love facing camera, and hearing someone say, ‘lights, camera action!’ In fact, modelling was never my calling, I did VJ-ing when i was really young and it was a fun thing to do.
