Lara Dutta: The stars are not in favour

There is something certainly wrong with Lara Data’s stars these days. She gets the movies but somehow the project does not materialize. First, she was signed by Sanjay Gupta for ‘Dus Kahaniyan’. But then Sanjay dropped Lara for hot Bipasha Basu. Again, Amarjeet signed Lara for the title role in his film which was to be directed by Sudip Sarkar. The movie was based on a true story. The launch party took place amidst much pomp in a five star hotel. But again the stars took their turn and the producer dropped Amarjeet’s movie and started another project. Lara seriously needs to do something. What about adding one more ‘A’ to the name -“Laara Dutta!’.

Back after a long time outdoor shoot for Shaad Ali’s Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, actress Lara Dutta was first hit with news Zinda co-star Sanjay Dutt’s court Verdict. “I guess everyone has their own karma to sort out. Sanjay’s gone through so much, now he deserves peace of mind. He should remember nothing is constant in life. This phase too will pass soon,” she says, adding, “By far he is the most reticent and shy gentleman I have come across.”
Speaking of gentleman brings Lara dutta to the subject of Longtime live-in Boy friend Kelly Dorji. “Our love has grown deeper than before. To maintain a relationship for long requires high levels of maturity and a lot of give and take. It’s not easy at all,” Lara says. Lara dutta met Kelly much before she became Miss Universe. As she got more successful, Kelly strongly supported her every move. They have been together for seven years now. What About the seven-year-itch? “Oh, the seven-year-itch came and passed as quickly too,” She laughs, “We went through our share of ups and downs, and we survived. I don’t think every couple has a seven-year policy written into their relationship!”
Is the couple tying the knot soon?
“Honestly no. Even Kelly Doesn’t want it now. He is in a new phase in his career, and is brimming with ideas. At this point we are both gung-ho about life. That’s it.” Source: ‘Times Of India’

Lara Dutta & Mahesh Bhupathi's Goan wedding!

Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi took off to Goa post their registered marriage on February 16. It was a private affair with just friends and family.

The beauty Queen was seen looking resplendent in a white Ellie Saab wedding gown accentuated with white gold and diamonds.
Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi went all classic in a tuxedo. The two do look smashing together!
The wedding took place at the Sunset Venue, Taj Aguada. It's a beautiful spot set atop a hill and overlooks the Arabian sea.
Lara was reportedly looking for something romantic and chic. And she got exactly that!
The celebrity nuptials was reportedly attended by nearly 200 people including Bollywood stars Raveena Tandon, Priyanka Chopra, David Dhawan, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza, Sajid Khan and Lara's Don 2 fraternity Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani.
What we missed getting a glimpse of though, was Lara's fantastic sangeet. This too was held in Goa at Club Fresh on Candolim beach.
For the sangeet ceremony Lara Dutta reportedly donned a Manav Gangwani tangerine lehenga with Swarovski crystal details.
As for the accessories, Lara is said to have sported traditional polki jewelry of gold and uncut diamonds!
The groom apparently opted for an ivory kurta-pajama with a matching tangerine stole.
So all in all, it was a grand affair! Now for the big question. Where are they taking off for their honeymoon?
Well, as far as we know, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are off to Dubai.

Here are the newly weds in comfy casual gear, off to catch their flight at the airport.
Are they headed elsewhere from the desert oasis? We don't know. But whatever it is, we hope they have a blast and a wonderful married life!

Bhupathi and Lara Dutta are officially engaged now

Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi and Bollywood babe Lara Dutta have been going sround for quite sometime now, but it was only recently that the couple decided to go for an official announcement that they have been engaged. Though the two have been spotted together oft and on recently during the Filmfare awards and also during the IIFA weekend at Sri Lanka, it was during the recent US open in New York that Mahesh proposed Lara.

A very happy Bhupati has tweeted ‘So @DuttaLara and me got engaged in NY last week. Its official now…’

In case you popped in late, Lara Dutta has had a living relationship with Model and Actor Kelly Dorjee while Mahesh Bhupathi was married to model Sweta Jaishankar. Lara came close to Mahesh as a client of Mahesh Bhupathi Celebrity Management Company.

Chalo Dilli’: Comes the call from producer Lara Dutta

Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra started their career together after winning the Miss India titles in the same year but Priyanka Chopra’s career is miles ahead than what Dutta has achieved. Former Miss India Universe has enacted in a number of Bollywood movies and has a number of romantic linkups too. Recently, she made an official announcement of her engagement with long time boyfriend and tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi.
With her acting career not going great guns, the actress has decided to turn to the field of production and her first home production would be ‘Chalo Dilly’ where she will also be playing the female lead. Reports have it that Vinay Pathak has been signed up as the lead hero opposite her.
How she scores as a producer would be sure an interesting tweak to watch out for!!
