Abhishek Bachchan is sure acquiring a knack for being the bad boy. After his performance in <strong>Yuva</strong> was appreciated, Abhishek did yet another ‘negative’ role in <strong>Dhoom 2</strong>, where despite being the cop, he managed to appear as the bad guy as far as the audience is concerned. And now we hear, he is once in a role with negative shades in Mani Ratnam’s Guru.
Abhishek bachchan admits that it was tough playing an ambitious man who can justify breaking laws without any guilt in the film. Now in AB’s baby trying to make a mark as the anti-hero? <br><img alt="Guru" src="http://www.bollywood-stars.net/images/guru.jpg" />

It takes one talented actor to admire another talented man. Abhishek Bachchan is total floored by the cinematographer of his own film Guru. The man in question, Rajiv Menon is so meticulous about his job that he doesn’t hesitate to make last minute changes in the lighting on the sets of this Manu Ratnam film. Abhishek was really impressed when rajiv agreed to change the lighting to make sure that everything goes right.

It’s really strange how the idea for a film originates sometimes. Apparently, actor Abhishek Bachchan, relating how he actually signed Mani Ratnams
Guru. informs that ratnam and he were actually working on a different script when the director suddenly had a change of heart. He told Abhishek Bachchan that he felt like making
Guru instead because he found it to be very intresting. Abhishek Bachchan, who response his trust in the filmmaker, heard him out and immediately agreed to do the movie.

While the casting of Ram Gopal Varma’s
Sholay continues to generate curiosity and intrest, the latest actor to have been finalised is Abhishek Bachchan. He will re-create the magic originallycreated by Jalal Agha in
Mehbooba O Mehbooba. With this dance Abhishek will shale a leg for the first time with actress Urmila Matondkar. He will share screen space for a popular number for the third consecutive time with his father Amitabh Bachchan. The other hits being
‘Kajra Re’ in
Bunty Aur Babli and
Rock and Roll Soniye for
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
Ram gopal varma confirmed the news. “It is true that Abhishek will be doing the song and will feature along with Amitji and Urmilla. The other details are yet to be finalised. We yet have to think about his look in the film,” he said.

Abhishek Bachchan is the current rage, but ask him if it’s his stubble that brings him much luck, and he says, “I don’t know. It’s whatever the people want and what the role demands. I have to quietly and humbly do what I am asked to. So, if my director asks me to maintain a stubble look for the film, I simply do that. It is not consciously kept for the luck at all.” Now we know that this super lad is not all that superstitious. It’s his fans who rule his world.

Everyone Assumes that macho men don’t cry. But our screen idols prove them wrong. If the brawny, rugged Abhishek Bachchan can shed tears(on screen) who are we to challenge anything? Nodding in agreement, director JP Dutta Says, “
You have to watch Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in Umrao Jaan to believe what he’s capable of. In one of the scenes, towards the end of the film he had to cry. Abhishek was so involved in the scene that not only did he cry without glycerine, he completely broke down. And he moved us all to tears.” Well, all those Abhishek Bachchan fans out there will go sob-sob at this scene too. They would even give their Jaan to see that smile on his face again. What say, gals?

A quiet day is what birthday girl Aishwarya Rai has in mind. “I am just not the birthday bash kind. My day will start with a visit to the Siddhivinayak temple with my family, something I do every year. There will be no loud parties….my birthday is a very private affair. Considering I have to leave leave for Dubai tomorow, It will be over early too,” smiles the light-eyed beauty, adding,”Only family and friends will be there.”Will that include her ‘friend’ Abhishek Bachchan too? “Abhishek is a friend for sure. We get on really well. He’s fantastic at what he does, and deserves the acknowledgement he is getting now. And even though he never played a prank on me, I have no doubt that he is a brat.” Source: ‘Times Of India’

Our poor Abhishek Bachchan. Just when it comes to promoting his new film Umrao Jaan with Aishwarya rai, the lad has fallen ill. And it’s not just a cold either. In fact, he has been down with severe chest congestion, watery eyes and a high fever since the past few days. And he’s on heavy medication and has been advised complete rest by the doctors. Yet, Abhishek, the action man that he is, is keen to to hop out of bed and complete his commitments.

Now when we talk of ultra profeesinal stars, how can we ever ignore Aishwarya rai and Abhishek bachchan. Apparently, while shooting with the extra-rigid Mani Rathnam for
GURU, the duo had to put on kilos of weight as they are shown progressing over a span of time in the film. And towards the end they are actually supposed to look ‘roly poly’ (though we wonder how that’s possible with the svelte Ash and the brawny Abhi). Now that was the easy part. What was really not that simple was that right after Mani’s shooting schedule they had to knowk off all that excess weight for
Umrao Jaan and
Dhoom 2 and suddenly the trainers, the jogging suits and weights all came out. “It was tough!” informs Ash. “But to get back into shape, we just had to sweat it out in the gyms at any given opportunity. And thankfully, all the ‘tone’ and ‘form’ are back. Believe me, it’s so easy to binge and put on. But working it off…ooof!”

Altough Amitabh Bachchan was not in the mood of celebrate his B’day this year, Abhishek managed to bring a smile on his father’s face by flying down from London for his birthday. “My sister, Shweta flew down from Delhi and dad was really excited about that. The entire family was together. Nothing could have made him happier. We all spent the entire day together,”says Abhishek. The other birthday gift that made the Bachchan family hapy is the honour that the French governent bestowed on him. “What a fabulous gift for Dad and it came at the perfect time on his birthday,” says Abhishek. Abhishek is excited about his dad’s current assignment-Ram Gopal Varma’s Sholay,he says,”Ramu is a wonderful director and a filmamaker I have immense faith in him. I was very upset when I couldn’t do Sholay due to time contstraints.”

While all the world is praising Abhishek Bachchan for his performances and admiring his awesome personality. there is a little girl who is making sure that he is well grounded and not floating in the air with all the praises coming his way. It’s none other than niece Navya Nanda who does a reality check with her MAMA deares once in a while. Abhi tells TOI, “Navya is my greatest critic, but she is very creative in her criticism.” When we ask him about the latest criticism this girl has made, abhishek tells, “She thinks I can act better.” Now, that’s one helluva severe critic, for sure.
