Abhishek Bachchan surprises dad on his birthday

Altough Amitabh Bachchan was not in the mood of celebrate his B’day this year, Abhishek managed to bring a smile on his father’s face by flying down from London for his birthday. “My sister, Shweta flew down from Delhi and dad was really excited about that. The entire family was together. Nothing could have made him happier. We all spent the entire day together,”says Abhishek. The other birthday gift that made the Bachchan family hapy is the honour that the French governent bestowed on him. “What a fabulous gift for Dad and it came at the perfect time on his birthday,” says Abhishek. Abhishek is excited about his dad’s current assignment-Ram Gopal Varma’s Sholay,he says,”Ramu is a wonderful director and a filmamaker I have immense faith in him. I was very upset when I couldn’t do Sholay due to time contstraints.”
