Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Lokhandwala’ is based on a real shootout and has real life characters of underworld don like Maya Dolas (Vivek Oberoi), Javed Hyderabadi (Arbaaz Khan) and inspector Aftab Ahmed Khan (Sanjay Dutt). The latest buzz is that Rakhi Sawant is also in the film playing an actress who was shooting at Lokhandwala on the day the encounter happened. Rakhi affirms, ”I got a call from director Apoorva Lakhia when I was shooting for my film Buddha Mar Gaya in Hyderabad. They wanted me to play an actress who happens to be on the site of the shootout and becomes an eyewitness of the incident.” The real actress who was shooting that day at Lokhandwala was Pooja Bedi. When Pooja was enquired why she didn’t play her character in the movie, she said, ”Apoorva did approach me and wanted me to play the part. But it’s probably just a 10 second scene that didn’t interest me”.

Vidya Balan in Deepa Mehtas next movie

After Deepa Mehta’s movie ‘Water’ being in the race of Oscars, Deepa has already started preparations for her next movie which will be a comedy. Deepa has chosen Vidya Balan and R.Madhavan for the lead roles. Deepa Mehta says that she was impressed by Vidya’s performance in ‘Parineeta’ and she had prepared the script for the movie keeping her in mind. The movie is named ‘Stella’ and Vidya plays the role of a babysitter in the film. As for Madhavan, Deepa says that she had been considering his name, and after seeing his chemistry with Balan in ‘Guru’, she finalized him.

Saif Ali Khan has a difficult choice to make. He has been approached by the two biggest banners of Bollywood. Firstly , for Aditya Chopra’s next film to be directed by Victor and secondly, for Karan Johar’s next to be directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Both these banners have proved to be major contributors in establishing the actor in the industry- The most successful movies of the actor’s career have been ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Salaam Namaste’ with Yash Raj Productions and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ with Dharma Productions. The problem is that the dates for both the movies are clashing and none of the producers are ready to change the dates. So. Saif has no other option than to opt out of one of them.
